Darlene, an awarded and accomplished artist in drawing, watercolor and oil painting, resided in Pinckney Michigan until she and her husband Deck sold everything to begin a life on the road in their motor home. She received her oil painting training as an apprentice with David E. Weaver, 1956-2010, Master of Flemish Realism. Further training included workshops with Timothy Tyler, Charles C. Gruppe, Carol Marine, Maggie Siner and Mark Bettis. She spent two years selling art all over the world as a Daily Painter. As of 2016 she has settled into a singular devotion to Mother Earth pulling from her life of natural exposure creating paintings using cold wax and oil.
